Child’sPlay Therapy Center, conveniently located in Hoover, provides a variety of therapeutic and academic services to children age birth through teens, who may be struggling in a variety of areas.  At Child’sPlay, you will find a child-friendly, non-clinical environment where children thrive and succeed.Services include occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, behavioral therapy, and academic tutoring.  Child’sPlay serves children with all types of needs.

Some children may have a diagnosis, such as autism, cerebral palsy, or Down’s Syndrome.Other children may not have a diagnosis, but just need to improve their speech articulation, their handwriting skills, or their reading/math abilities.  Following an initial evaluation, the therapist will collaborate with caregivers to develop goals and objectives based on the family’s needs and priorities.Family involvement in therapy is very important, and the therapists’ at Child’sPlay will include and educate caregivers in order for them to carry over the strategies and techniques in the home environment to accelerate success.
