Congratulations on making it to week 3 of the challenge!

This week’s challenge is to reduce your family’s screen time on week nights.  Look at your screen time tracker and pick an amount of time you’d like to reduce screen time during the week.  If you have kids, try to reduce to screen time for homework only during your children’s awake time.

You might be wondering what you are going to do with your family during all this non-screen time.  I’m glad you asked!  Here are some ideas to try instead of screen time.  Have your kids take turns picking an activity.

Family Fun Weeknight Fall Activities:

  • Draw a family portrait
  • Play Hide n Seek
  • Search for leaves outside and make a collage
  • Rake a pile of leaves and take turns jumping in
  • Paint a pumpkin
  • Bake cookies
  • Make homemade trail mix and have the kids pack their snacks for the week
  • Go to the park
  • Have a dance party
  • Take a walk
  • Play board games
  • Complete puzzles together
  • Make up a secret handshake
  • Build a blanket fort
